Ethan Emerson was {finally} born on May 17, 2011!
It's hard to explain the feelings that were happening throughout the entire labor process. But when I saw him for the first time, like as an actual human being rather than an alien in Katie's stomach, I just knew. I knew that we would be buddies. I knew that he was the cutest little thing I had ever seen. I knew that my heart grew a little bit that day and was bursting with love. I knew that he would change all of our lives forever.
I can't wait to see what life is like with a nephew!!
Thank you to all my wonderful friends who were not only praying for Katie and her little family but also celebrating with us. It was so fun to come back to school {a day I was dreading} and receive all of your excited smiles and hugs! I will never get tired of being yelled at, "Auntie Courtney!"... seriously, don't stop, I love it.
